I just can't resist posting flower photos. Here in Growing Zone 5, our WINDOW of opportunity to enjoy flowers is really itty bitty. These are a few shots of a lilac bush I planted a few years ago. The flowers only last a few days, but smell glorious! The photos are a bit blurry (a windy day), but I'm really going to enjoy these photos (or torture myself with them) come our long Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March and April days!
Very nice flowers!
ReplyDeleteColorful flowers.
ReplyDeleteMust be nice to garden with them.
Great close ups!
ReplyDeleteOoh, lovely. In the drab winter months I too will have to remember your colorful shots!
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell these. Beautiful color
ReplyDeleteAngela sorry I was posting under one of my kids names NTD I just didn't want you to think Who is this
ReplyDeleteYou really got in close on those buds! Too bad these aren't scratch-and-sniff!! MMMMM!
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty pink and I know how yummy lilac smells, so I'm sure you're enjoying every second of that!
ReplyDeleteI wore my most comfy Earth brand sandals on my first day in NY. Those sandals are amazing, but they were no match for 102 degrees with 100% humidity! My poor feet swelled like crazy (we walked 9.5 miles that day) and everywhere there was a strap, I got a blister! The sandals you see me wearing in the photos are Mephisto brand and were all I could wear after that first day. I'm going to get some Birks in the next week or so, on your recommendation!
And, I read a couple of comments you made regarding your dd. I don't know what's up, but sounds like she's having a difficult time. I'm so sorry to hear that and will pray for peace for her.
These are so pretty! I never really knew what lilacs looked like..I always thought they would be purple.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! You are doing such a fantastic job with your photography and flower shots!
ReplyDeleteOOOOhhhhhh love these! I have a lilac in the front yard and just planted one in the backyard. Love the smell...they remind me of my mom.
