Oh bliss! We're getting to do the stuff that's the perogative of every empty nester; wander to our heart's content through a conservatory! While Brian was at work or in school (translation: we weren't packing food into him or helping him move), we headed over to Como Park Zoo & Conservatory in Minneapolis. My shutter finger was so so happy!
I believe my nephew managed to be the person who registered as the 15,000th view of my blog; John, if you're reading this, check your mail for a gift certificate for $20 to Amazon.com!
ok had some really bad spelling there. my comment should have said "I love these photos. Green is my all time favorite color, and these plants have a great green. I did get the e-mail thanks for the gift card."
When we lived in St. Paul we went to the Como Park Conservatory a lot--it's such a neat place. I love your water lily shots, especially the large African (?) ones with the upright edges. The first one with the sun coming through the edge, showing the veining,is really really neat. The size of those is amazing!! By the way, I didn't know you'd posted waterlilies until I'd posted, too. Oops! Yours are much more interesting.
Oh. My. Goodness. These are some absolutely stunning and breathtaking photos. The beauty of these plants has been fantastically captured. You, my dear, and your shutter finger, are amazing!
