Chaos Rains

. . . or reigns. I figured if it was going to look like this outside, I was just going to sit in my car awhile. . . .

. . . and wait it out. Besides, I'm a bit bummed out. I spent the labor day weekend decluttering (and more days besides that!)

. . . but this is what I came home to from work. The entry to my daughter's bedroom (it's not her fault; she's in India!)

And this is merely a tiny portion of the rest of the CHAOS in nearly every other room of the house.
OK, in all fairness, I have to tell you that we're having new windows installed (partly to repair the damage left by the Evil Cedar Waxwings), and it's only half-way completed. So my husband HAD to move his un-decluttered stuff that he's been promising to sort for most of the 20th century (and more) into areas that I had decluttered for hours and hours and hours and . . .

. . . . but I need to be patient. It'll get put back together. (And sorted threw. Or I'm throwing it out!!!!!!!)

And besides, my scrapbook stuff is still in clutter-state. (And my new camera that was suppose to be here on Tuesday hasn't come in yet. )

  1. Almost missed the tiny print - wondering how that D300s is. Cleaning up always hits a point where it looks more like 'messing up' rather than cleaning.

  2. At least it's rain and not, you know, the S word. As for the clutter, shove it farther in and shut the door--that's what I do!
Yay for you on the new camera!

  3. Ugh! Who cares about clutter when you have a new camera coming? I hope it is there now and you can play and enjoy.

  5. Yikes! I can totally relate. At home no one shares my sense of urgency to get rid of stuff. The same item can be kicking around for weeks and it doesn't seem to bother anyone but me!

  8. Decluttering is so much work. Rain and more rain. It has been raining everyday here(NM) which is very unusual and we are all thankful for the rain.

  9. We could really use some of that rain here. I love the first photo. There are so many colors in it. It looks very abstract.

  11. Sounds like you had an utterly frustrating day. I'm sorry for that. Hopefully your new windows get installed soon (and no mice chew through your screens), your new camera arrives safe and sound and the clutter magically disappears!

  13. Love the raindrops. I like Becky's idea of just shoving the clutter in further and shutting the door. That works for me all the time! :)
