Let Me Just Say My Children Are Odd and My Friends are NOT All Dead

Perhaps you have gleaned from my blog that I have weird children, and you would be right! Or perhaps I should say, more diplomatically, that they have strange senses of humor.

The silver lining is that Dianna showed some interest in photographing. . . . my feet! Brian gave me these socks in memory of our beloved Bonnie, and he gave Dianna this strange little book. Dianna then decided it was the perfect opportunity to photograph my feet along with her book:



But the really, really, wonderful thing is that Doug is beginning to show signs of melting his cold, hard-hearted heart (ONLY on this issue, and only if he doesn't change his position!) and relent on our getting another dog.

Sure, we could live a fine, adequate, semblance of a lame life without a dog, kind of a life that's been desaturated in photoshop of all color and joy, but there are better options! (It's probably why the dinosaurs went extinct; they didn't get to have dogs!)

    I'm glad your friends aren't all dead, and doubt your kids are really very strange!

    I loved your photos of Bonnie(?) and especially her very special book reviews.

    I'm glad there's a thaw coming - you need a dog.

    When we lost our first dog, Uno, Jim and I decided not to get another one. We didn't want to go through the pain of losing one again. That resolution lasted a whopping two days before we brought home an 8-week-old puppy, and we've never regretted that decision for a moment.

    And I love that shot. I bet you could make up a theme for that one if you tried really hard!

    Ha, I think that's pretty hilarious. But then again, I've been described as odd too. I just think I have character! ;)

    Bonnie would want you to move on and share her home with another doggie. I am glad Doug is coming to his senses - er, I mean, coming around to opening his heart to another canine.

    Thaw, Doug, thaw!!! You know that Bonnie would love to see another dog as happy with her people as she was. And yes, life is rather washed out and monochromatic without a dog. I am thoroughly enjoying DD's 8 month old mini-goldendoodle. He's like a living stuffed toy polar bear!

    I cracked and got my boys a cat (I swore a very hot place would freeze over first ;), so he has to crack soon. LOVE your title, that is too funny, but I have to say I could totally see it as a theme! I think we are all a little odd, or at least everyone at my house. Oh and I love your socks too!

    The socks are adorable! Dianna's book . . . hmm . . . I guess I had to be there . . . The new pet . . . been there, done that, and neither of us wants another one . . . we find other ways of saturating our color palette . . . :-)
