Day 251: Fast and Slow Flames

This is another way of showing the difference between two different shutter speeds. I used my 105 mm 2.8 macro lens, and shot this first photo at 3 seconds, f 36 (definitely using a tripod!)


And this second one at 1/640 shutter speed, f 3.3. Both are at an ISO of 200, shot in RAW.

Hmmm, tomorrow's theme will be "vehicles." Looks like I'm finally going to have a reason to post a picture of my good old subaru!

Awesome examples! It is so cool to see how the flame differs with longer and shorter exposures. That 2nd shot looks like it could be on a Hallmark card! :)
