You had such good guesses yesterday! And I think Becky's is the most accurate. This is a larger, more distant, view of this polished agate/rock thingy. I don't exactly know what it is, and have wondered if it does contain some kind of fossil in it. But I think it's a slice of agate, polished. It may not be clear from this photo, but the bottom is flat, and the top is more dome-shaped.
I'm pretty sure you'll figure out what this is:

I am so bad at these "What is it? pictures! I would say the inside of a melon (the seeds). I'm probably way off! I'm taking a class through Big Picture Scrapbooking with Allison Tyler Jones. Really making me think about pictures.....

That is a really awesome rock...its so beautiful and detailed. I think its rice...but I am not sure. Maybe seeds of some sort? Hehe...I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow.
And, YES, I have read Bird by Bird and I love that book. I read it in high school. She really is an amazing writer. I loved getting in her head.

How neat!! I would have thought the rock was bigger than that, great detail. You had me stumped! I would say some seeds for today!
