The Beautiful Miss Bonnie has identified two wonderful organizations that work to see that deployed military personnel get care packages. I've decided to go through the Any Soldier site, and within this, went to the AnySailor section. You get to identify a location and gender, and I was particularly moved by some of the requests of the female sailors who are now deployed in Afghanistan. They asked for things like "nice smelling shampoo, tuna fish in packets, Clearasil face wash, socks." And most of all, letters from anyone from "home." The Beautiful Miss Bonnie tells me I should get busy now!
AnySailor.comSoldiersAngels.orgDear Beautiful Miss Bonnie, My house is a mess! There's clutter and dust everywhere! What should I do?
The Beautiful Miss Bonnie says:
Do what I do. I have a lovely purple ostrich feather duster that I ordered from FlyLady.net.

Just rush through the house, perhaps not on all fours, and the ostrich feather sucks up the dust. You can shake it out on the front steps when you're done, taking care to not let any of my less-well-behaved brethren sneak out the door at the same time.

And if you must, you can prance around the house with the feather duster on your head, if you feel like looking particularly fetching.
Poor Bonnie! She has to do it all, doesn't she.
ReplyDeleteCute post about your doggie! And those trees are lovely:)
ReplyDeleteOh thesae made me laugh. How fun!!
ReplyDeleteI've seen the same requests from our troops in the Mideast. Their requests are so touching, so unassuming: also lip balm (Chapstick), Purell, moisturizers. The web sites will give you lots of ideas. Their requests remind us how good we have it here.
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up. You poor dog is gonna get you back some day you know that right.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is a cool shot.
ReplyDeleteLove that golden light in your first shot.
ReplyDeletePoor Miss Bonnie. She does look like she is taking it well. ~Jackie
Gotta love purple - looks good even in ostrich feathers and Ms. Bonnie sports it well (though her expression says oy vae!) Lovely photo of trees - I wish trees held their flowers longer - it just brightens up everything.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. I'll have to try that with Piper ;)
ReplyDeleteToo cute, she's a trooper! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Love the trees! Makes it hard to remember how cold and barren things were just a few months ago, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteBonnie is such a trooper! She looks quite fetching in her ostrich feathers. Hope you enjoy your duster. I have a Flylady one too...somewhere. LOL
Thanks for the reminder about the troops...
