Day 48 Firepit and Airport Statue

This is something that I don't take for granted in my wintery life: a firepit outside in February in a shopping mall, adding just a small amount of additional warmth even though it's 63 degrees; grass and cacti and plantlife. . .

Several people asked about the full statue, so I included this shot of it today. It looked to me like it was made out of brightly colored strips of paper, almost in a paper-mache type medium. Maybe this is what San Franciscans make when they can't build snowpeople??????

Oh thanks for posting the full picture of the statue. It is stunning to be sure! I loved your comment about it.

And the fire pit! I'm sure you DO appreciate seeing green things in the middle of winter!!

Loving your posts, even if I don't always get the chance to comment!

Angela that statue is just amazing!! The colors are so vibrant.
I am with you on the firepit and green things. I cannot wait for spring and growing things again. For now I watch the buds on the trees swell and tell myself that it is only a few more months until they leaf out. :)

63 is a cold day???? Ugh, I'm jealous. I was thinking yesterday's 23 was balmy.

Cool statue- though I like yesterday's close up to see the detail better. LOL about alternative to snowpeople!

Neat statue. We want to get a firepit for the back yard but havent done it yet because of our curious 3 yr old- sounds like trouble!!

Both very cool! I know you're not saying 63 is cold!! hehe It's zero here today. That firepit wouldn't do a thing! lol (It would still look cool though)

Ooh, I love firepits! I wish I had one here, it's FREEZING!

That statue is just so beautiful! It must have taken forever to create! What a work of art. :)

I see by your weather pixie that you're having a heat wave--28 degrees-aren't you sweating? You don't need that fire pit! Thanks for posting the full statue. It definitely has more impact up close.

That is so awesome. It almost looks like an egyption statue to me! So beautiful and thank you for posting the full size, Angela.

63 degrees. I would totally be wearing my shorts if it were that hot out.

I can't wait to use a fit pit again! I'm so glad you posted the full statue - can you imagine how long it must have taken to make?

Hi my friend! Haven't been by to leave love in some time. Once my work reports are written and turned in, life will free up to "hang out" more. :)
