Day 128 POTD

Isn't this a cute cupcake holder? I want to get one. . .

I know this photo is almost identical to yesterday's, but I don't get many chances to get photos of my kids, so want to work with this one today. The first is SOOC.

This second is with the person on the left cropped out, the brown thing by the right of the chair cropped out, Lady Ren's gentle color boost. I tried to crop out the strand of hair across my daughter's face, but for me, it was hopeless, so I left it alone.

Now, several of you wanted to know about the plate of food Dianna is holding. This was at an outdoor wedding shower, and as near as I can tell, these were large dill pickle halves, rolled up in slices of turkey or ham, and a layer of cream cheese. It sounds totally bizarre, but was extremely good! And looks formidable!

And, I just want all of you to know about another thing to add to your Worry Lists (in case you're lacking in items!) Yesterday, my dh called me at work and asked if I knew a Denise W. . .

"No, why?"
"Because I have her credit card in my wallet."
"Do you have yours?"
"Umm, . . .no."

I checked on-line, and after the wedding shower, my dh and I went out to eat with my daughter (guess we were still hungry after the pickles!) at a Thai restaurant. We paid with a credit card, and apparently, they switched out card with someone else's, and gave "Denise" ours, and us, hers. He called the restaurant, and Denise had already brought his back in.

My husband mailed Denise's card to the restaurant (it's 70 miles away from us) . . . along with $10 to cover the cost of the charge he made at another store WITHOUT REALIZING he had someone else's card! (So forget that thing about comparing signatures; Denise, Doug, . . . doesn't matter. And apparently, not even the gender!) Supposedly, the restaurant is mailing ours back to us.

The moral of the story is, check your credit card when you get it back at a restaurant. It might be Denise's, and not yours!

I'm behind on my comments but since today's and yesterday's are both of the lovely Dianna I'll do it in one. These have such a lovely "garden party" feel to them (which I suppose it was.) I think the hair across her face looks good, adding to that nice outdoor feel. And I just checked my credit cards. No Denise in sight. Usually DH is the one to add to my Worry List, but today you get the honor.

Love the cropped photo!

Funny about the CCs. I read a book where this happened and they ended up married.

Oh, great with the bump in the background cloned out. Nice job! I like the strand across her cheek--you can tell she outside on a lovely day. And thanks for the heads-up on the credit card snafu--in more ways than one!!

Hey Angela! I've been checking out your blog on the fly lately and haven't been leaving comments. Loving all the pictures as usual. Those ladybug ones were cool! I had to keep going back and forth on the one of Dianna when I read you got rid of the horns. Took me a bit to figure that one out! LOL

I actually own one of those cupcake holders and they are neat! I've learned young kids and cupcakes work very well for birthdays. Add a prepackaged cup of ice-cream and the clean up is a breeze. :o)

Glad to hear the CC issue is going to work out well for you. Dodged a bullet there!

Okay, I'm laughing that they didn't even notice the gender was off! Hello, how many males named Denise are there!!! So happy she brought his back and all is well! :)

Love that cupcake holder. How cool. And the shot of your daughter is great, too, especially the cropped version.
What a story about the credit card. Glad it turned out well. I remember seeing something on the news once where the news reporter did an experiment of signing "Mickey Mouse" on all the credit slips to see if anyone would notice. Not one merchant did. Yikes!

Man oh man! Wow...its so refreshing to know that there are still people out there who are honest. I cannot tell you HOW many times I have lost my purse and had someone return it to the store. No one has ever stolen in. Isn't that amazing. I have left it in the food court of the mall TWO TIMES even. This is why I never carry a purse anymore. Hahaha.

I LOVE the cupcake holder....but love the cupcakes in them even more.

I was wondering what kind of food she had on the plate. I like the way her hair is wisking across her face. Oh hope you really get the card back.
