Day 169: The Love of a Father

Doug, Dianna and I went out to eat Saturday night. But Dianna was going to go bowling, and leave for it directly from the restaurant.

But she was wearing sandals and hadn't brought socks.
I was wearing sandals, no socks.
Doug had on new, clean socks. So of course, he gave them to Dianna.
Right there in the restaurant, under the table. Are there no limits to the love a dad has for his daughter?
And she bowled a 150.
Doug is such a great dad!

What a great way to show his love. He can say "the socks off my feet" rather than "the clothes off my back." How is Dianna doing?

Love the shadows here. I cannot get over the relationships that form between dads and their daughters. It is something so unique and special.

HAD to have been the socks, right? What a great gesture...so symbolic. Hope D is doing better, and working through all the emotions.
