Happy Easter!

It's 54 degrees!!!! Look at my weather pixie today! She's showing skin! And the snow is melting away here. . .

Dianna was the only one of my 3 children home for Easter this year, and she notes that, being the only participant, the annual hunt for the Easter eggs was considerably less competitive! She misses the competition. She tells me, though, that her favorite Easter story is that she and Scott would always get 90% of the eggs; Brian would get the last 10%, and FINALLY, after many years, we realized that because Brian is color blind, this wasn't exactly fair.

I mean, what the heck! What kind of competition is it when hunting Easter Eggs really relies on color? Poor Brian was like Charlie Brown's "I got a rock" at Halloween.--Dianna likes this story because of its sheer evidence-value showing our poor parenting :(

No faces were allowed (or harmed) in the taking of these Easter photos . . .

Happy Easter. My daughter got stung by a bee one Easter Egg Hunt - that was pretty much IT! for her. (at least for a couple of years - till the competitive streak struck again.) Looks like it was still a fun holiday at your house. [BTW - ShamWows are on sale now at WalMart !!! - gonna have to give in to the frenzy.]

Your weather fairy looks positively thawed out! :)

Fun shots, I like seeing the pretty Easter Basket and then the eggs Dianna collected. We're doing our hunt in a couple of hours, I need to get off here and go stuff eggs!

What lovely spring colors on your table! I didn't know Brian was color blind. Funny story, but poor Brian. Happy Easter!

LOL on your color blind story. As the mom of an only, one thing he truly missed out on was the "thrill of the hunt" when it came to Easter morning.

Aww, poor Brian! But I couldn't help but chuckle, just a little... no wonder! LOL. Happy Easter! :)

Happy Easter! What a lovely table! For once you got the better end of the weather deal. It was overcast, rainy and only in the upper 30s-low 40s today. Thank goodness we generally do our egg hunt in the great room. LOL Got a chuckle over your egg hunt story. Get this...my youngest kept giving her sister some of the eggs she found-even though the older one was finding more. She's a sweet one, that's for sure.

Sounds like you have had a lovely day. Thanks for sharing!

WOW! Its nice to know you finally got some decent weather. That is an Easter Miracle all in itself.

I love your story too. I was shocked to find out that boys are way more likely to be colorblind than females!

No wonder Brian didn't come home this time for Easter. He knew Diana was going to get all of the eggs anyway. :)
Happy Belated Easter.

LOL. I make my kids split the eggs 50/50 at the end of their hunt because I'm a stick in the mud like that. Your table is beautiful!

Happy belated Easter! I keep telling my DS that he will MISS his sister when she's gone, but he doesn't listen. So glad you had great weather!
