OK, it's worth going to Texas for no other reason than to go to this restaurant! And look! It never closes!
This is where we had lunch, in Market Square, in San Antonio.
I was practically drooling and hyperventilating in the entry alone, there was so much I wanted to photograph!
We were really, really hungry, and Doug managed more patience than anyone has a right to ask of Hungry Spouse, and I shot away, not getting the best settings or compositions in the world, but enough to play with.
Hot already (especially for us Northerners), the interior of this restaurant must be entirely heated by millions of little lights. I kept wondering about what the cost would be to replace them all with those new LED Christmas lights.
Who's that crazy woman with the camera hiding by the plants by the bathroom, photographing the restaurant. I try to keep photography in a restaurant to a minimum, but this place just begs to be photographed!
Here we made a Terrible Mistake. After the delicious, inexpensive, meal, we passed up dessert! What were we thinking? This place is well-known for its Mexican pastries, and we could have easily carried some back with us to our hotel. Oh, woeful day!
These guys came over and serenaded us by our tables.
And after this, we headed back to our hotel, where I rested for about 20 minutes, and then headed back to the River Walk without Doug, with my little River Taxi pass in one hand, camera in another, and multiple maps in the other.

Man, love the ceiling in there! You are right--it is a photographer's paradise. So many details, so little time...
These colors are so amazing. Great job!
Looks wonderful!
Wonderful captures
That is beautiful!! I just may have to stop there when we're in San Antonio next week.
These are some of my favorite shots of your trip! That is one awesome looking place to eat!
This place is a feast for the eye - especially a photographer's eye. How fun!
What an amazing restaurant! How does anyone eat with so much to look at!
You paissed up desert! Girl...never. :)
LOL
I seriously always have desert when we go out to eat. I don't get those treats at home that much so I always go for it big time even if I am stuffed. I am SURE Jenny Craig loves me.
And the colors in these photos are beyond magical. I cannot get over the amazing glitz. I always told Michael that I wanted to be buried in a Mexican cemetery (I am not Catholic) because they looked SO freaking festive! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
A delicacy to the eyes. What a gorgeous location and to 'not' have pulled out the camera would have been blasphemy. TFS!
Wow - photographer heaven!! Look at all that color!! Lucky girl!!
Amazing lights and colors! What a feast for the eyes, as well as the tummies, I'm sure!
Oh wow, yeah there was no way you could keep your camera just at your side in that place. I would have to photograph everything too, what an amazing atmosphere!
WOW, I'm with you, there is NO WAY I could have passed up taking photos in there! That is so awesome!
Oh, wow! What a ceiling! Love all those lights!
