Welcome! Insidious Garden Invader!

I know scilla can be invasive in gardens, but it's such a welcome sight to see these first blooms in my yard! April can be such a cruel month, giving us that hint of warmth--practically taunting us with a touch of green here or there. This morning, it was 27 degrees when I got up; this would have been total bliss in January or February. . . . but by April, I want tulips and daffodils. I want to see green leaves and even a mosquito might make me happy! (I draw the line, however, on any appearance of those Evil Cedar Waxwings, which can just STAY AWAY this year, and eat someone else's windows. (Sorry, Someone Else.))

Ok, you may have the last laugh. I may have had much less snow, and grass for months longer than you, but my scilla are not blooming yet! (or if they have, the deer at them and I missed seeing them) Great shots! Love the vibrant color :-) Makes me feel very spring-like since it's been snowing, hailing and sleeting all day.

This is such a pretty color, I don't think I have seen such a vibrant blue in a flower. Sorry about that craptastic weather :(

Beautiful, Angela! Love the blue and the waterdrop is so cool. Which lens did you use?

Oh, the Nikon 105mm micro?? I'm jealous! That may be my next lens purchase....

Oh, that blue is incredible! Sure signs of spring! If you can believe it, it snowed at my house today. Only for about 5 minutes, but snow? In Seattle? In April?

I wanted blue flowers on my Easter table and ended up going to several flower shops before I found the blue delphiniums that I ended up using. Blue flowers are so hard to find sometimes! These would have been perfect!

Glorious colors. You have definitely cornered the market on craptastic weather, but hopefully your summer will reward you with warm versus HOT days.
