This was the dessert that my friend made for our book club. Pretty fantastic looking, isn't it? It was delicious! Especially with the pumpkin ice cream, and little red candy balls from Harry & David. We read these nice, socially conscious books (sometimes), and then totally indulge ourselves.
Sadly, my desserts and house are not nearly as pretty. Not even close.
Next, we're reading
The Autobiography of Santa Claus, by Jeff Guinn. I'll let you know what I think of it. . .

Wow! Can I join your book group? We have desserts at ours, but never as beautiful as that. I'm interested to hear what you think of The Autobiography of Santa Claus. My book club is reading "The Whistling Season" right now. I like it so far. I'd love to hear what your other books are.
Beautiful! Are you angry housewives? ;)
What a beautiful place setting and yummy looking snack. The lighting is beautiful. I'd like to find a book club. The closest I ever came was with an acquaintance who, when I expressed an interest in joining, told me they don't actually discuss the book and most of the time don't read it. I was all "??????"
I missed your hand photo before. Is it saying something in sign language?
WOW, I wanna join THAT book club! That looks absolutely DIVINE and I am guessing it tasted just as good! :)
Um, I want to be a part of THAT bookclub. I could gobble that up in 2 seconds right now! The book you are reading sounds really interesting!
Cheers,

What a beautiful presentation, I bet it tasted fabulous! And how great that you thought to take a photo so you're able to share with us! :)
When I was in a book club...our snacks NEVER looked as yummy as this. What a beautiful presentation!
Oh YUM! That looks decadently delicious. I've read "The Whistling Season" and LOVED it--it is on my favorites shelf. Have you read "Peace Like a River"? Wonderful, and set in Minnesota and the Dakotas...
Wow that looks heavenly
