Buck Up, Santa!

. . . Seriously, Santa, what's got you in such a snit? Is it your credit card bill? That you have to stop off in ND and deal with our windchills on the 24th?

I just have to say that I so enjoyed Nicki's recent posts of glum-looking Santas that it's got my scrutinizing my own Christmas ornaments to see who's dishing out Christmas- Story-level (the movie) stink-eye in my living room.

Ha ha! Your post cracks me up. This guy's a little glum, but not giving the complete stink-eye. A friend's family (the Schmidts) has a family trait of what we call the "Schmidt-eye". It's hilarious!

I think we have the same Santa! He does look bummed. Will have to take a pic of ours :)

Oh, boy. Now I'm going to have to look at my Santas and see if I have any sad ones. I know that a few of them have a stoic face, I think.

Thank you for the comment about my tablescapes. I'd say, if you are concerned about storing a variety of dishes, stick with white. Lots of designers advocate white dishes because they go with everything, and they display food to best advantage. Tablescaping is just one of the many tools in the entertaining arsenal, but it can never replace true hospitality, which is all about warmth and generosity of spirit . . . you and Doug have got that covered already.

I love him - so unique and yep, that less than advertised Ho Ho Ho expression.

And you have HAVE to get Angry Birds. You will be ashamed - err, I mean, AMAZED at how much you lose track of time when you start that little game. Personally, I'm going to have to join the 12 step program because I've gone back and replayed in order to score all 3s. Shameful, I know..... but such a lovely/engaging distraction.

That expression looks to me like he just sat down in the sleigh after having been in a house, and we all know what those seats are like in ND in the winter! Although, come to think of it, he probably has heated seats in that sleigh. Maybe the chimney was a tad too tight!
