Happy Birthday, My Sweet Barnes & Noble Nook!

You know how we throw around the words "I love. . . !" so much, like I love my phone, my camera, my paint. . . .

Well, with my Nook, it really is a love affair! It's officially one year old today, and I was one of the "early adopters" with all kinds of initial angst. But there have been software updates, and features added that I never expected in the first place. . . . and I've read and read and read (not to my heart's content, because I don't think that could ever happen!)

But, oh, that library feature! It's just so wonderful to be able to access free books through your public library, and get to read the books on your Nook. I can bring hundreds of books with me, with just the weight of one paperback! And *poof* the book magically goes back to the library without me even having to drive there when I'm done! (Plus, I can check the books out, in my pjs, at two in the morning, if I want, right from the comfort of sitting by my Christmas tree!)

So many books, so little time!

Happy Anniversary! I know you'll be celebrating by cracking open . . . a new book!!! I'm slowly warming up to the idea of an e-reader . . .

Happy Birthday Angela's Nook, partner in crime, and BFF. I have the Kindle and must confess that while I enjoy it, the love affair isn't quite so strong. I haven't been up to my previous level of reading several books a week - maybe one day.

By the way, I enjoyed the laid back Santa and external illumination shots of your previous post. I could not bring myself to stay up until 2 am to watch the eclipse.

My MIL gave me her old Kindle when she bought a newer one. I love it! Unfortunately, some older books are not available in digi format so I have a paper book on hold for me at the library, awaiting pick up :)

I want one of those so bad, but I worry I'll hate it! I love the smell of books but those darn things are so convenient! I'm glad that you are quite happy in your love affair though. ;)

I have an e-reader as well and I totally understand your love!

I'm so glad your love for the Nook is strong. I'm still a paper book reader and haven't yet quite gotten the yearning for an electronic device for reading. I for one, love roaming the library looking for my next book (or two or three)to read.

So jealous here! Don't think the Nook works in Canada - hoping one day I will be able to get one! Happy anniversary to you and your Nook!

Happy Nook-iversary! Every time I read your posts about your Nook I finding myself wanting one more. I inherited R's Kindle, though, so can't see my way to buying a new reader when I have a perfectly good, albeit imperfect, one. Perfect allows you to check out library books, which is what I lust after!!!!
