Day 18: LayOut of the Day

MElgen designs Call of the Wild kit
I must have a foot fetish or something, but the messy site of my kids', and their friends', shoes all piled up in our entry way just warms my heart! When they were little, I'd get cranky that they were in the way, on the stairway, but now I like seeing them.

And I'll take the warmth where I can get it! See my weather pixie? As I type this it's -15 degrees. It's suppose to get worse today. . . on the order of -30 to -40 with windchill. Send me some warmth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH, I love the term detrius applied to the pile of shoes at the door! We ar empty nesters now, and I LOVE it when the shoes start piling up during a visit. Glad you have indoor activities...stay warm!

Sending some of my AZ sunshine your way - I think we're supposed to be in the mid 60s today :) You are an amazingly faithful blogger (and scrapper) ... it amazes me!! If only my 2 little ones that are home during the day didn't expect to be fed ..... Love seeing all of your work and information shared!!

Hey Angela, I thought I was cold in 17 degree weather here in Boise Idaho. I'm convinced you develop a thicker skin when you live in such a climate!!!! ;)

Wishing I could send you some warmth, but it's pretty darn cold in my neck of the woods. (tho not as cold as you are).

LOVE this layout! I'm in the season of the piles of shoes and like you mentioned, it gets annoying, but seeing your layout lets me know at some point I will LOVE having shoes in a pile.

Thanks so much for sharing! Love your blog!

angela - I wish you were in our part of the warmer world!! Have a cup of hot chocolate with lots of marshmellows and snuggle on the couch with a blanket and a chick flick movie. I love the shoes. It makes it nice to know they are home. I have one moved out and the other is never home so I understand. I love all the los you have done. They are great.

Oh, my buddies, you are wonderful! Your words are just what I needed today! Wish I could snuggle home with some hot chocolate, but, sadly, I'm at work, but taking a peek over from time to time. I'm glad so many of you understand the significance of the shoe piles! And I'm loving the nice community we have going on the MB and through the blogs. . . it's like endless, wonderful, magazines, only better!

Cute layout. I really like the vintage look. Gives me an idea for my ABC book.

All those shoes are supposed to make me feel warm? I've been going around with the COMPLETELY wrong attitude.
And BRRRRRRR. We're expecting really cold weather this weekend, but nothing as extreme as yours (although my feeling is that once you get below 10 below, it's all just freakin' cold).

Brrrr! I do not envy that weather this time of the year! Try to stay warm! Verona

I love your LO. Such a cute idea! I am glad I don't live there. I think I would freeze to death. I am the coldest person on the planet. Bundle up with lots of blankies and stay inside! ;)
